Oscar-nominated actor Max von Sydow has died, aged 90.
The actor, who was born Carl Adolf von Sydow in 1929 in Lund, Sweden, appeared in many famous TV shows and films. Max von Sydow had an expansive acting career, which he began in 1948.
He had starring roles in 'The Exorcist', 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens', 'Shutter Island', 'The Tudors', 'Flash Gordon', and of course he played the Three-Eyed Raven in 'Game of Thrones'.
He also worked closely with critically-acclaimed Swedish director Ingmar Bergman, and the pair worked together on 'Winter Light' and 'The Passion of Anna'.
Sydow will posthumously appear in war drama 'Echoes of the Past', which is expected to release later this year.
Max von Sydow died at his home in France on Sunday.
In a statement, his agent Jean Diamond said: "It is with a broken heart and with infinite sadness that we have the extreme pain of announcing the departure of Max von Sydow, March 8, 2020."
