The American Idol judge appears to be on a whistle stop tour to highlight how the show has ruined her life.

Firstly, she spoke to The View (BUKKAAAAWWWK! etc.) about how American Idol made her open fodder for stalkers, like Paula Goodspeed (who committed suicide outside her house last month): "She has been a stalker/fan for about 17 years now. It wasn't until American Idol that she ever knew how she could get to me. Prior to that it was all through a fan club. Because of American Idol, I've been an open target to be followed home. So the last five years have been a little tough for me."

She told People.com: "I've been staying in different homes and hotels, and I have security with me."

She then went on Barbara Walters' radio show to say: "She (Goodspeed) came to the audition. I said, 'This girl is a stalker of mine. Please do not let her in.' I was shaking. The producers thought, for entertainment value, it would be funny. Fun for them to cause me stress. It would make good television. If you look at the audition on YouTube, you'll see I couldn't even look up. But it wasn't just once. She showed up again in Las Vegas and she showed up the following year... Then Fox broadcasting literally went to my house and gave my address away and showed how easy it is to break in." Of the written correspondence she got from Goodspeed, Abdul said: "The letters that were written were about bodily harm. She said that the only way I will serve my purpose is when I am up in heaven being her guardian angel." When Walters asked why she was still working American Idol, Abdul said, "Well, I'm still under contract."

Is anyone else getting the feeling Paula wants to be freed from the shackles of the contract which made her a household name (again)? Well, if the above comments don't work, the next one might... When responding to claims that Simon Cowell drafted in another judge, Kara DioGuardi, to oust Abdul, she said: "This one has backfired on him. Ten years ago on a rainy day in New York a girl comes up and says, 'You're Paula Abdul. There's a signed thank you letter you wrote in my boss' office.' I asked who her boss was, and he was the president of Billboard magazine. So I invited her to lunch, and we wrote a song that day, on a napkin. It turned out to be the biggest song for Kylie Minogue ever (Spinning Around). It hit number one all over Europe. I then listened to her demos and told her to give two weeks notice and I moved her into my home in L.A., and we became the best roommates. She has since become one of the most successful songwriters. And now she is on this show, of all people."

So, Paula, how did Simon not know you and Kara were already mates? "Do you think he thinks for one moment about anyone other than himself?" Ooooh, it burns...

In the immortal words of Randy Jackson: Yo, yo, yo, so check it - this dawg wants OUT of the competition... OOOOR she just wants to hawk her new line of bling on various shows and can only do so by also "spilling" some pre-approved beans.
