We already knew that he was a big fan of golf - he's been seen hanging around with (and even caddying for) Rory McIlroy and various other famous golfers in recent years on more than one occasion.
However, if you'd said that Niall Horan's focus would be on golf during One Direction's 'hiatus', we probably would have laughed at you.
The Mullingar man is reportedly not using his time off from the pop band to travel the world with Ed Sheeran, but instead is launching his own golf agency.
The Sun reports that he has founded Modest Golf Agency in partnership with the band's Modest Management, and will seek out new talent in the golfing world from the UK and Ireland.
They quote a source as saying "It’s well known Niall loves golf and has been learning from the best out on tour with Rory. Now he wants to discover exciting new players and give them his backing."
Well, it's certainly a New Direction for him. Sorry.
