OK, they're not marrying each other but still, how cool is this! Sir Ian McKellen will officiate at his best pal Patrick Stewart's forthcoming wedding. That means he'll be the standing between Stewy and his bride (Sunny Ozell), calling for the exchange of vows and rings. How cute! It'll be just like when Joey married Monica and Chandler in Friends.

Oul Gandalf let it slip whilst being interviewed on The Jonathan Ross show. Joking that he 'would marry' Patrick soon, he clarified by saying "How else do you put that? I'm going to officiate at his wedding."

This isn't the first time McKellen has been called upon to officiate at a wedding; he did a civil partnership a while back in the UK and apparently he was an emotional wreck: "I was crying my eyes out."

Then, discussing his outfit choices for the special day, he said: "[I'll wear] something I bought in India that was rather fetching. You mustn't upstage the bride."
