Simon Zebo has been released from the Ireland rugby World Cup squad on 'compassionate leave', to attend the funeral of his grandfather.
Zebo left the squad this morning to travel back to Cork for the funeral of John Geary, his mother Lynda's father, who passed away in University Cork Hospital after a short illness.
Geary's funeral mass will take place tomorrow, after which Zebo is expected to rejoin the squad in their Guildford training base tomorrow after proceedings.
