The young lovers have been spotted publicly smooching at various places around the globe in recent months, but it seems that not everyone is convinced by Canadian singer Mendes's technique.

The pair took to Instagram to post a riposte to those who have criticised the way they kiss (with some calling it 'like a fish'). "So we saw like on Twitter and stuff, you guys saying stuff about the way we're kissing, and how it looks weird," they said. "It really hurt our feelings."
They then go in for a pretty horrifyingly sloppy kiss which you shouldn't watch if you've recently eaten.
Yeah, it's funny, but also... not.
