Sticking to her guns like she always does (and good on her) Sharon Osbourne won't reconcile with Ozzy until he has proven he is serious about staying sober.
The couple, who have been married for 31 years, have been living apart and the Black Sabbath rocker recently admitted he has turned to alcohol and drugs over the last 18 months, though he has been clean for 44 days.
However, insiders told TMZ that this period is 'not enough' for 'The Talk' star, who has lived with his behaviour for so long she wants him to prove himself before she will go back to him. However, the insiders insist Sharon doesn't view the separation as permanent. A source said: 'They've been through hell and back together. They're not breaking up.'
Earlier this week, Ozzy used his Facebook page to issue a public apology to Sharon and his other loved ones, including their children Aimee, Kelly and Jack, for his 'insane' behaviour in recent months.
Ozzy - who also has three children from his first marriage to Thelma Riley - wrote: 'For the last year and a half I have been drinking and taking drugs. I was in a very dark place and was an a*****e to the people I love most, my family. However, I am happy to say that I am now 44 days sober. Just to set the record straight, Sharon and I are not divorcing. I'm just trying to be a better person. I would like to apologize to Sharon, my family, my friends and my band mates for my insane behavior during this period.........and my fans. God Bless, Ozzy (sic)'
