New York experienced a major power outage yesterday when thirty blocks of Manhattan's streets were without electricity for several hours.
It meant that all of the major theatres on Broadway - and even the big screens and dazzling lights of Times Square - were left in the dark.
J-Lo's concert at Madison Square Garden was also brought to a halt, as she explained on Instagram:

However, the cast of several Broadway shows, including 'Come From Away', 'Rock of Ages', 'Hadestown' and 'Waitress', took to the streets in front of theatres for impromptu performances for the disappointed ticket-holders:
