In a brutally honest post on Instagram, actor Selma Blair has announced that she's been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and most likely had it for the past decade and a half.
Blair, who most recently had a cameo in Netflix's 'Lost In Space' and is due to star in another Netflix original 'Another Life', explained that she was diagnosed with the illness just two months ago, but believes it's possible she's had it for over 15 years and simply ignored the symptoms.
"I fall sometimes. I drop things. My memory is foggy. And my left side is asking for directions from a broken gps. But we are doing it," Blair said. She went on, thanking her friends and fellow actors Sarah Michelle Gellar, Jaime King, Freddie Prinze Jr., and others for support, admitting that she is "in the thick of it but I hope to give some hope to others. And even to myself."
The illness, which currently effects 2.3 million people worldwide and over 9 thousand people here in Ireland, is described the MS Society of Ireland as "a progressive neurological condition" that affects the brain and spinal cord.
