At what point does cheap travel just become not worth it? Probably when you have to sit beside a pile of sick for a whole flight. Probably.

Noel O'Hare was on a Ryanair flight from Gatwick to Dublin over the weekend and noticed a bit of a mess on the inside of his row. He soon discovered it was more than just trash left there from the last flight, it was actually a pile of vomit, and was informed that it wouldn't be cleaned until the flight had landed in Dublin, forcing him to sit beside it for the entirety of the trip.

As you can expect he was rightfully outraged so he took to Twitter to vent his frustrations.

Ryanair weren't long about responding, but could have been a bit more sympathetic, "we will forward this onto our inflight team to investigate this further and hopefully limit this going forward. Apologies for any inconvenience caused."

The company put out a later statement clarifying what happened, saying "We sincerely regret this incident which was caused by a shortage of cleaners at Gatwick Airport, which would have delayed the return flight by more than one hour".

An hour? If you don't have time to clean the whole plane fair enough, nobody wants to be delayed because of a few empty crisp packets or bottles of Coke, but if there's a bunch of sick beside a passengers seat you could at least throw a mop around it for a minute or two.

How tough was it not to make a 'sickening' joke? Extremely, it was extremely tough.
