The actor joined his new BFF Rob McElhenney in sharing their colonoscopy journeys to raise awareness about colon and bowel cancer.
Ryan Reynolds' colon is on full display in the video below - but it's all for a good reason.
You see, he and his Wrexham AFC co-chairman Rob McElhenney bet each other last year and because they're both quite competitive, their bets actually came to fruition.
The pair who famously bought the Wales football club (and have their own Disney+ series 'Welcome to Wrexham' highlighting their journey) bet that if Rob could learn to speak Welsh, Ryan would publicly broadcast his colonoscopy for all to see. So, with Rob being able to string a couple of sentences together, the colonoscopy video is here for all to see.
Not one to leave his friend hanging, however, Rob also underwent the procedure. Watch the video below to see how both of their surgeries went, which really does feature some rather surprising results.
The Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney colon story was filmed in order to raise awareness about colon cancer, which is a rising illness for men under the age of 50. For those in Ireland who are interested in attending a screening, or are looking for more information on the subject, check out the HSE website for up-to-date details.
