Russia has banned a number of adult-content sites, claiming that they are harmful to children.
The ban, which was announced on Monday and is now in effect, sees 11 sites in total being prohibit for use by the public, with PornHub being the standout site.
The pornographic site was ruled to contain unlawful content and violated a regulatory law which protects children from accessing harmful information.
The ban doesn't come as a huge surprise, seeing as Russia blocked both Reddit and Wikipedia last month for individual articles relating to drug use. Those bans were lifted once the sites made some changes requested by the country, but it appears that these latest bans are for the long-haul, as the country looks to clamp down on certain elements of online content.
