He could be the new Zayn, you never know.

Rory McIlroy and his pal Niall Horan had a great time at the Masters Par-3 tournament earlier this week, as the two made their way round the course having the craic. Well, at least Rory did anyway, as he watched Niall hit a ball into the water on the 9th, and then snot himself on live TV too.

However, in a payback of sorts, Rory revealed that he's going to have to get up on stage with One Direction when they hit Boston later this year on tour and belt out a tune or two.

Speaking to Sky Sports, McIlroy said "The deal was if I made him hit a shot here...they're playing in Boston at the end of the summer when I'm there and I'm going to have to get up on stage. I'll have to maybe sing a few lines so I'm not looking forward to that".

If Rory proves that his pipes are up to the challenge, he could have a handy little nixer there on the side, since the boys could be looking to bring someone in to replace Zayn, but we'll have to wait until video surfaces of his performance to make a Simon Cowell-style judgement on it.
