Rihanna is left explaining herself once again as news breaks of recent collaborations with Chris Brown, her ex who was convicted of beating her up the night before the 2009 Grammy Awards.

So RiRi tells us that: "The hottest R&B artist out right now is Chris Brown," she said Thursday on Ryan Seacrest's morning radio show, referring to her tune "Birthday Cake." "So I wanted him on the track."

Then they cut a deal for the benefit of their fans, she said. B&*$Sh1t I say. Don't bring the fans into a stupid decisions. Stand on your own feet Rihanna, be a big girl and tell us why you really wanted to do this!!

Fans of each of the artists have often been at odds since the assault, which resulted in Brown pleading guilty to a felony charge and being sentenced to many hours of community service, anger management and domestic violence courses and five years' probation.

Breezy and Rihanna, however, mixed things up around the beginning of the year with a Twitter flirtation that got a bit weird. Months later, they were collaborating.

"He was like, ‘Why don’t you do the remix to my track?’ and it was a trade-off," Rihanna said. "We did two records. One for my fans. One for his fans, and that way our fans can come together. There shouldn't be a divide. You know? It's music, and it's innocent."

Do you agree?
