It's hard enough being single around the Christmas period without having to be reminded of it wherever you go.
Those of us who are "enjoying" the single life will know that there's a constant pressure from family members to "find someone and settle down".
Were it that simple.
Anyway, a restaurant in Tokyo's got the right idea.
They've decided to ban couples from taking up tables on Christmas Eve so that single people don't feel bad for eating alone.
The owner of the restaurant said that "if you are single on Christmas Eve, it's easy to get down."
We're guessing they meant that in the emotional sense, not the "get down and dance" sense of the phrase.
A tweet posted by a passerby has since gone viral and the restaurant is expecting a full house on Christmas Eve.
Who knows? Maybe all the single people who turn up will find someone while they're there!
