Residents in a Kerry village are calling for a house to be demolished as they believe that there is bad luck associated with it.
A house in Lixnaw, Co. Kerry has become the topic of conversation for locals after it is believed that as many as five deaths have been associated with the property in the past few decades.
The latest took place last year, where the violent death of a woman occurred, and locals now believe that the cottage, built sometime in the second half of the last century, has 'mí-ádh' associated with it.
According to The Irish Independent, there have been five deaths associated with the property, all involving different families, which has led the local parish priest to state that he believes the house is bad luck, and needs to be demolished.
A motion to demolish the house was brought before the Listowel electoral area council, who confirmed that they are considering it, but that it is still a sensitive issue given the death there last year.
