Dublin Airport was on lockdown this afternoon after a passenger claimed to have Ebola.
A flight due to depart for Milan at 1pm was held back on the runway this afternoon at Dublin airport after a passenger claimed that he had Ebola, and warned staff on board the aircraft that he was infected with the virus.
The Gardaí and HSE were called to the scene and the plane was stuck on the runway after the captain was alerted by the crew that a passenger had written 'Be careful, Ebola' on his coffee cup.
A spokesperson for the Dublin Airport Authority told The Irish Mirror that the incident had been investigated by officials from the HSE and they were satisfied that he did not have the disease, and he will now be questioned by the Gardaí about why he made the claim.
