What happened to you Chester, you used to be cool.
It would seem that there's no place for comedy in Chester, at least not in the local council, as they've removed a number of fake plaques placed on park benches.
The plaques were supposedly a protest to plans from Cheshire West and Chester City councils to introduce a Public Space Protection Order, which some feel could be used to target the homeless and socially vulnerable.
The council decided to remove the plaques because people could be "offended" by them. If you're getting offended by any of these, then you've a lot more to worry about than some jokes on a bench.
Speaking to the Chester Chronicle, council member Maria Byrne said "we have removed the plaques from five benches and although they may appear humorous, some people may find them offensive"
"It has cost the Council taxpayer money for officers to locate and remove them".
You know what wouldn't have cost them anything? A sense of humour.
