Look, we could sit here all day and discuss the pros and cons of the UFC's deal with Reebok.

Yes, it means the sponsorship money the fighters have been surviving off of is now non-existent, and the new pay scale has left a lot to be desired for fighters who aren't already well established in the company. Actually, it's a lot easier to argue the cons at this point in time, but to be fair to the company, the idea of bringing the fighter attire in line with other professional sports is probably the right thing to do, even if it means there's going to be an initial drop in fighter's wages.

Uniformed weigh-ins and fight cards are just the equivalent of a team wearing a jersey, and there's not too many people that'd want to see their club's jerseys splattered with "Dude Wipes" or "Condom Depot", even if it was benefiting the sports person financially. Unfortunately the new pay scale isn't helping this rough transition, leaving new fighters with as little as $2,500 per fight, but Reebok can't be blamed for that, and to their credit their Fight Kit gear looks pretty cool.

The company unveiled the new line today, with Conor McGregor and Ronda Rousey showcasing the range.

The Champions kit will be all black, unlike the native colours on the international fight kits.
