From American football to the Premier League, there are plenty of interesting stats and numbers to choose from this weekend that paint the picture of what happened in the world of sports.
We'll start in the NFL, where Peyton Manning decided that after hitting the 500 career touchdown mark a few weeks back, he wanted the record for the most ever, and got that this weekend with his 509th TD. Here's a breakdown of all the receivers that he's hit for a score in his amazing career to date.

Obviously, he would have liked to have that ball as a keepsake, given its sentimental importance, but his team-mates were more concerned with playing keepaway, which was pretty darn funny.
While we're on the subject of rbeaking NFL records, the Dallas Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray is having an incredible start to the season and went in to last night's game with six consecutive games in which he'd run for over 100 yards. Last week, against the Super Bowl Champion Seattle Seahawks, he tied the record of the great Jim Brown, but this week against the Giants he ran for 125 yards, and now holds the new record himself of seven straight games over 100 yards at the beginning of the season, and is on target to hit the 2000 yard mark, if he keep current pace.
As is, if he were a team on his own, he'd have the fifth best rushing attack in the NFL. Well, probably fourth because you'd have to take over 900 yards off Dallas...
In La Liga, Ronaldo is in extraordinary form, and has his sights clearly set on another run at the Ballon d'Or. Given that he has scored 15 goals in just 8 games so far this season (excluding scoring for Portugal), you'd be hard pushed to look past him for the award. This weekend, as he scored two in a 5-0 win over Levante, he surpassed Echevarria’s record start of 14 goals to the season, which had stood for 71 years. Not only that, but he's already outscoring entire teams on his own.

Staying in Spain, Claudio Bravo has set the new record for most minutes without conceding a goal at the start of the La Liga season. Artola's record stood at 561 minutes while Bravo now has 720, which is pretty decent. Luis Enrique's Barcelona side are yet to concede a goal this year in domestic competition, so the race is on to see who can finally beat Bravo.
If the game between Liverpool and QPR is anything to go by, then it might in fact be one of his own players who scores first, as the match featured at least two own goals, and a deflected shot. Scrappy is a decent way to describe it, but they all count, as they say. For Ireland's Richie Dunne, he's been counting a few too many of them in his career, which is one of the dangers of playing at centre-back for years. He now has 10 to his name, and is the only player in the history of the league in double figures.
Speaking of Liverpool, the pressure keeps on growing on their "star striker" Mario Balotelli, who joined the club in the summer with hopes of making a big impact on the Premier League. That hasn't happened so far, and with finishing like this, it's easy to see why.
He now has what we assume to be a fairly unwanted stat hanging over his head: in his last 20 Premier League games he has scored one goal, given zero assists and taken 39 shots. Since joining Liverpool, his record isn't great either...

He also has fewer PL goals for Liverpool than Richard Dunne...
