Willem Dafoe may not have won Best Supporting Actor at last night’s Golden Globes ceremony (the award went to Sam Rockwell for Three Billboards outside Ebbing, Missouri, the big winner of the night) but he is our unofficial winner of Best Facial Reaction.
Seth Meyers' opening monologue was heavily laden with jokes related to the Weinstein allegations and those against other industry members which have emerged in recent months. In fairness, he professionally manages the delicate balance between acknowledging the seriousness of these events while still being able to poke fun at them.
About a minute and 20 seconds into the monologue, you’ll note a playful jab he takes at Dafoe, implying that he is the next actor to be 'named' and the reaction is simply hilarious:
Let’s just freeze frame that face.
Willem Dafoe deserves a special Golden Globe just for this face. #GoldenGlobes pic.twitter.com/olpligQ0z1
