It's been years in the making, but at last, the end is nigh for the Luas works in Dublin City Centre and the red and green lines are set to be officially joined later in the year.

It will mean that instead of getting off at Stephen's Green and walking all the way across town to get another Luas, you can now go from Brides Glen to Broombridge in Cabra if you want.

Very handy altogether.

The new line will add thirteen new stops, eight of which will be in the city centre and will include Westmoreland Street, Trinity and O'Connell Street. You can see them all in the map below, along with where the interchange stations will be.

The new Luas Cross City will launch in December 2017.
