Stories of people being just plain nice and helpful seem to be very popular on Twitter. 

Which explains why the below tweet from @Taylor_Mikey_ has garnered over 10k RTs in the past 24 hours. 

Awh how lovely. Jane is such a lovely woman. It's a shame the whole thing is entirely fake though.

It didn't take long for fellow Twitter user, @4evrmalone, who happens to be an Associate Editor at New York Magazine, to notice that the image that "Jane" supposedly posted of herself was actually a selfie posted to Pinterest by an artist named Barbara Olsen.

Of course when faced with the reality that he'd been found out, Michael did the mature thing and owned up to it. 

Nah, we're just kidding. He blocked Madison. 

That hasn't stopped other Twitter users from gloriously taking the piss out of him though.
