KFC has a new celebrity Colonel Sanders to launch their new Zinger sandwich.
Rob Lowe has gamely adopted the Colonel's persona for the ad and we're completely here for it. The ad sees Lowe as Sanders, dressed in a space suit designed to look like Sanders' traditional attire, address the nation as KFC prepares to launch their new sandwich into space.
Lowe might be lacking Sanders' traditional southern drawl but he more than makes up for it with his natural charisma and damn if that's not an inspiring speech.
Apparently KFC fully intend to actually launch the new sandwich into space.
Kevin Hochman, KFC U.S. president and chief concept officer, said about the launch, "I have no idea how we’ll launch a chicken sandwich into space, but the marketing team thinks they can do it."
We look forward to seeing them try. After Lowe's speech they certainly won't be short on motivation.
