Initially, we had our concerns, but it has to be said, fair play to 15-year-old Noah who is using her fame (affiliated or otherwise) to promote the welfare of animals. I think I went my entire stint in education without dissecting something (although there is a vague recollection of chasing a cow's eyeball across the classroom floor).
The poster reads: "I am not a classroom experiment. Neither are cats, frogs, rats, pigs, or other animals killed for dissection. Please choose not to dissect. #DissectionKills."
Speaking about raising awareness for the millions of animals dissected each year in American classrooms, she said: "It kind of was weird being on the table and the feeling of about to be cut open. The thought of that happening to an animal is terrible… if you feel weird dissecting something, say no... I love all animals so much, people should realize they don’t have to cut into something to learn about it. You should ask your teacher for other humane alternatives. You'll learn so much more off of the computer. If you have the other option, why not take it?"
