We often forget that Ireland is truly a green and beautiful place, and what better time to remind ourselves of the fact than today?
British astronaut Tim Peake, who's currently stationed aboard the International Space Station, tweeted this picture of Ireland from high orbit over Earth. The ISS, which is currently 400km above us and rotating at a speed of 7.66 kilometres a second, is home to three astronauts - including Tim Peake.
The image, posted to Twitter by Peake, was relayed through a LAN that interacts with a computer linkup on the ground at NASA. If that's not proof we're living in the future, we don't know what it is.

This other image, posted by NASA themselves, shows a green aurora passing over Ireland, England and Scandanavia - also taken from the ISS. This one, however, was taken by American astronaut Terry Virts.
