Dwayne Johnson has had many a beloved role in recent years but kids big and small probably see him as synonymous with Maui, the demi-god, from Disney animation Moana.
The design of the character was even inspired by Dwayne aka The Rock – just look at that eyebrow tilt:
Now, after it was initially shared on Twitter by Anthony Oliveira, the actor has retweeted a picture claiming that Maui was also partly inspired by his late grandfather, High Chief Peter Maivia of Samoa, and indeed there is a strong likeness:
