If ever there was a face to make your stay at a swanky hotel all the more pleasant, it would be that of Jurassic Park and Independence Day star Jeff Goldblum.
Seth Freedland had this wonderful experience at the Huntley Hotel in Santa Monica. He was in the town for a wedding, and joked to the hotel staff that he wanted framed photos of Jeff Goldblum around the room (his girlfriend, Amy, being a huge fan of the actor).
The committed hotel staff delivered on the request, leaving beautifully framed pictures of Goldblum on the night stand, on the desk beside the breakfast menu (in case you get hungry looking at him, we suppose), and in the bathroom.
Seth said that Amy ‘was equal parts astonished and delighted’, as you would be.
The couple loved the frames so much that they even brought them back to their home in Portland.
‘To fit in our carry-on luggage, we had to divide up the three Goldblums: young and shirtless, zany, and classically debonair. Somehow I ended up with zany, which is currently on my dining room table,’ Seth said.
‘I've chosen not to ask what Amy's done with shirtless and debonair.’
