Look, everything in Australia wants to kill you, so we don't why these people are surprised that a shark attacked them.
Sheer terror overtook a surfing competition for mothers in Coffs Harbour, Australia after a shark breached the surface of the water next to competitors.
Steph Bellamy, a spectator at the event, said she saw the splashing and whipped out her phone in hopes of catching the action and didn't realise what she had snapped until she looked at the photo later.

A surfing instructor who was in the water at the time said that he had 'never seen 10 women paddle that quickly to the beach before.'
Organisers of the event waited 15 minutes after everyone was back on the beach to resume the competition, because Australians are too hard to let a little thing like a leaping shark get in the way of a surf.
