Superstar DJ Pete Tong getting a restraining order against the bird who sang Unfinished Sympathy scores quite high on the Randometer scale...

Shara Nelson, who has lent her vocals to many Massive Attack songs (Daydreaming, Safe From Harm, Unfinished Sympathy...), has been stalking Pete Tong. I'm not making this up. The Mirror reports:

"We've basically heard nothing of her since the early 90s - but now she's in the news for reportedly believing she's superstar DJ Pete Tong's wife and harrassing him with nuisance phone calls. Which is... odd. Pete's now been granted a restraining order against Shara, who was also accused of telling his colleagues that she was his manager. She even told the court that her surname was Tong and that she had a kid with him, which is also... odd, especially since Google our amazing backlog of celebrity knowledge informs us that he's actually married to a Brazilian supermodel. Pete's legal massive said that Shara had caused "distress and embarrassment" for the DJ who is, by the way, 51. Yeah, we feel old too. She's been banned from contacting him or his friends and family, as well as being given a 12 month community order and 80 hours' community service."

That's very sad, but it was kind of on the cards. All together now: "I know that I've been mad in love before, and how it could be with yooooou. Really hurt me baby, really cut me baby. How can you have a day without a night. You're the book that I have opened, and now I've got to know much MAAAW UUUWAAAHAWWWWW!"

And just in case you're not convinced, here's the rest of it: "The curiousness of your potential kiss, Has got my mind and body aching. Really hurt me baby, really cut me baby, how can you have a day without a night. You're the book that I have opened. And now I've got to know much more... Like a soul without a mind. In a body without a heart. I'm missing every part."

Indeed.
