It's not often we'll talk about public proposals, but this one takes the cake for several reasons.
First of all, let's talk about the ingenuity of what went on here. The gentleman making the proposal set up signs all along the platform of Pearse Station in Dublin, with him standing at the very end with the ring and a bunch of flowers. The lady in question, however, was actually driving the train as it was arriving in. Right there, that wins points for originality.
Not only that, the crew at Pearse Station were good enough to help a brother out and had some music on the PA system as the train was arriving in, just to help set the mood and make the moment just right.
Again, 90% of public proposals are pretty lame - but this? Oh, this is just lovely. You might say she's about to choo-choo-choose a good man to spend the rest of her life with. You might also say that it was a very locomotional time for them both.
That's enough awful puns. Here's the video and some of the follow-up videos. Oh, and just in case it wasn't obvious, she said yes.
Didn’t think anything could perk me up after a busy 13hr shift, and some Gent goes and PROPOSES to his GF driving the incoming train at pearse station. 😍😍😭🙌🏻 @IrishRail #PearseProposal 1/2 pic.twitter.com/wIN0JHPvzV
