If we know two things about Noel Gallagher, it's that 1) he's a huge Man City fan and 2) he doesn't do 'group fun'.
Both of those facts collided over the weekend when a video of Gallagher at a Man City match went viral for the most hilarious reason.
A fan captured the crowd doing 'the Poznan' at City's match against Fulham over the weekend - which, if you didn't know, is a celebration amongst fans where they turn their back to the pitch, put their arms around each other's shoulders and bounce up and down. It's a celebration mostly seen at European football matches, but has recently infiltrated UK sport, too.
The video in question shows masses of Man City fans doing the Poznan, and then pans to a lone gentleman - who is very recognisably Gallagher - seemingly refusing to take part.
The footage led his brother Liam - never one to shy from an opportunity to have a go at Noel - to describe the video as "poor behaviour", but now Noel has explained his decision not to participate.
Speaking to talkSPORT, he said: "I have to say, in my defense, on Saturday I was still feeling the effects of a rather spectacular night out," he said after calling into the show. "So even if I wanted to join in the Poznań, I don’t think I would have been able to."
Fair enough.
