If you thought the beef between Nicki Minaj and Cardi B was going to die down any time soon, you haven't been paying attention.
Minaj addressed the incident on her Beats 1 / Apple Music radio show last night, 'Queen Radio', and gave the whole incident her perspective - which, funnily enough, she claims was kicked off by Cardi B. Minaj claimed that she never once mentioned Cardi B's daughter, which was why she allegedly went for Minaj in the first place, and then described the incident as "mortifying."
"I could not believe how humiliated it all felt. Because we, how we made ourselves look. I would never discuss anyone's child. For someone to pin that on me because I'm the bad guy and they know people would believe them," said Minaj, just after playing an audio clip of Cardi B saying that "nothing is off-limits." Minaj went on, claiming that Cardi B's entire career was built off "sympathy and payola."
The incident in question took place at the Harper's Bazaar Icons event during New York Fashion Week over the weekend which both women were invited guests. Cardi B caught on camera trying to throw a shoe at Minaj whilst being restrained by bodyguards and exchanging heated words with Minaj. Cardi B posted a statement on Instagram after the incident occurred, however no further comments have been made since then.
