There are a few dangers to sideline reporting in NHL, one of them being that a stray puck will fly up and hit you in the head.
It's pretty rare, but it happened last night to NBC broadcaster Brian Engblom, who took one square in the forehead in the game between the Pittsburgh Penguins and San Jose Sharks at the Consol Energy Center.

A former defensive player himself, Engblom is made of some pretty hardy stuff, so once he'd been stitched up and seen to by a doctor, it was back out to his commentary position to earn his paycheck for the evening.

To be honest, we'd have gone home. Once we start bleeding profusely from our face in the workplace, we tend to call it a day.
