As you might be aware, American football is a pretty rough sport. There are countless hard hits throughout every game; most of them however, do not end up with a player losing part of his finger.
Unfortunately for Arizona Cardinals safety, Rashard Johnson, that is exactly what happened to him on Sunday.
There are two great things about this story.
No.1. Johnson didn’t realise anything had happened until the end of the play. He went to take off his glove and realised his selfish glove had decided to keep part of his left middle finger.
No.2. He went back out to play even after realising. Let me just repeat that. HE CONTINUED PLAYING AFTER LOSING PART OF HIS FINGER.
I don't know about you, but if part of my finger falls off during 'work hours' I'm out of there and I'm calling in sick for at least a week afterwards.
Johnson tweeted pictures of the unfortunate digit, maybe avoid having a look while you're tucking into your lunch, especially if it's 'finger food'.......I'll get my coat.
