Morgan Freeman is known for his eloquent, deep voice that so easily and readily commands attention - so to hear him speaking about Russia, the US Election, and Donald Trump is going to be something.

The veteran actor took part in a short political campaign video for a new initiative launched by director Rob Reiner and the senior editor of The Atlantic, David Frum, called Committee to Investigate Russia. The non-partisan committee, which is made up on political figures on both sides of the aisle, plans to, per Variety, "feature explanatory material on its website, as well as a social media campaign, daily newsletter, and breaking news updates. The announcement did not mention Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation of Russian interference and whether there were any connections to the campaign of Donald Trump."

Rob Reiner has been politically active throughout his career, and almost ran against Arnold Schwarzenegger for election as governor of California in 2006. Frum, meanwhile, was a speechwriter for George W. Bush and is known for coining term "axis of evil", in relation to Iraq, Iran and North Korea.

Here's Freeman's video message.
