Slow news days – we’ve all been there.

This afternoon, BBC TV News presenter Simon McCoy was tasked with delivering this piece of breaking news from Kensington Palace – that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge (aka Prince William and Kate Middleton) are expecting a third child in April.

As McCoy points out, pretty much anyone could have figured that out on their own, given the announcement date of the pregnancy, so how ‘new’ the news is dubious. Still, it may have just been worth it for McCoy’s hilariously unimpressed, sarcastic announcement.
