The LAPD has formally submitted a sexual assault case against Kevin Spacey to the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office for review.
No details were given as to the alleged victim or when the assault took place, however the assault case is understood to be the second such case up for review by the DA's Office this year. The first case was lodged in April and concerned a sexual assault that allegedly took place in 1992. Los Angeles has a statute of limitations on sexual assault cases, so it's not yet clear whether or not either of these cases can proceed forward to trial.
Currently, there are six investigations now open against Kevin Spacey in England, with Scotland Yard heading up investigations in all cases concerned. Spacey has not been seen publicly since the allegations came to light, and his most recent film, 'Billionaire Boys Club', made just $618 on its opening weekend in the US box office.
Spacey has made no comment thus far on the investigations in England or the two investigations in Los Angeles.
