The folk at Audible are no doubt experiencing a surge in sign-ups and downloads this morning, and it's all down to Louis Theroux.
The Big Daddy of Documentaries himself has been tweeting (again) about how good podcast West Cork is, pointing out that even Time magazine have listed it amongst their '50 best podcasts to listen to right now'. Last month, he directed his followers toward the podcast, calling it his 'new favourite true-crime podcast'.
As you may already know, the podcast was made by Sam Bungey and Jennifer Forde and documents the murder and subsequent investigation of French woman Sophie Toscan du Plantier at her West Cork home in 1996. Although journalist Ian Bailey was arrested twice for the murder, he has never been charged.
Does this mean that Louis may be making a trip to West Cork himself at some point?
Not going to keep tweeting about how good #WestCork podcast is. You either believe me or you don't. But Time also like it a lot. https://t.co/TQ3bUQyILF
