Barack Obama, whose been ‘retired’ for nine months now, has been summoned to perform his civic duty in his home state of Illinois. And he will be present.
“He made it crystal clear to me through his representative that he would carry out his public duty as a citizen and resident of this community,” said Timothy C. Evans, chief judge of the Cook County Circuit Court. The Obama’s own a home in the Kenwood area of Chicago’s southside.
The former president is no stranger to court rooms. The Harvard law graduate worked as a civil rights attorney and taught constitutional law at the University of Chicago from 1992 until 2004.
Sure, it’ll be good to get him out of the house. We’d say Michelle is only delighted.
