The Marriage Proposal Arms Race continues apace, this time with a live televised proposal.
It's not enough to do it front of a sold-out audience or through a videogame, now we're doing it via live television. Amazing.
Ireland AM's Alan Hughes was on this morning doing a slot on marriage equality and the recent passing of the Marriage Referendum when, out of nowhere, he turned to his boyfriend Karl Broderick and popped the question.
Wahooooooo Alan just proposed to @karlbroderick & he said yes!! #irelandam pic.twitter.com/f4jWapyAc7

As you can imagine, Broderick immediately said yes and it was all very, very sweet. Naturally, the reaction online was equally congratulatory.
@IrelandAMTV3 Ah! Thought Alan was a bit giddy! Congratulations to you both. @karlbroderick
