You'll never be able to sleep again...
It's been a while since we've had a game that truly scared us (Resident Evil 3: Nemsis still gives us nightmares on the other hand) but a new project from developer Novum Analytics may well have us hiding behind the couch...which it turns out would be the worst place to go.
Thanks to the magic of technology, they plan to bring the fear into your home with their new game Night Terrors, the basic premise of which is that there's a girl trapped in there somewhere, and you have to find her while avoiding all the spooky ghosts. Doesn't sound too bad? Well it's an augmented reality game that will use a number of features on your smartphone to render YOUR house and then set the entire game there.
Featuring "real-time generated photorealistic elements and enemies", there's a good chance that this will scare the pants off you, if it manages to get made. Currently, the developers have set up an Indiegogo page where they hope to raise $70,000 to make the game a reality, and reckon that it should be ready by 2016 for iPhone, with an Android version coming later. We're interested, anyway.
