Poor Nadine Coyle. She who was considered the best singer in Girls Aloud has sold only 117 physical copies of her debut single being outsold by, among others, Dustin The Turkey. Compare that to band mate Cheryl Cole who has sold a whopping 157,000 copies of her latest single in the past couple of weeks. Coyle's song has so far failed to make it on to radio playlists across the UK, an indication of just how awful the song, called 'Insatiable', really is. This is relatively surprising news, considering her proximity to Cole and the popularity of Girls Aloud, one would have assumed that the track would waltz into the top ten based on name recognition alone. On the other hand, I do suppose it's heartening to know that if a song is an absolute stinker no amount of promotion or wrangling can get you into the top ten, even in a music industry more dominated by image than talent. Better luck next time, Nadine. In the meantime, we look forward to seeing your single tucked nicely into bargain bins across the land.
