Last night, the annual VMA's took place in the Nokia Theatre in LA. You can see who won what below. Instead of going with the usual red carpet for the superstars, MTV laid down a crisp white carpet, why? I've no idea, but it's different, just like Lady GaGa's ensemble. It's become the norm now to wonder what she'll go as to these award ceremonies. I bet, if she turned up at an event with an LBD, had her hair curled with basic make-up no one would have a clue who she was and she'd look pretty too. But how and ever, back to the outfit at hand. Not sure what sort of 'art' this is. Inspiration from the 1800's maybe? Her head looks slightly super-imposed on her body. I'm thinking she has some whopper shoes on underneath as she can't seem to let go of the lad on her right (who seems to be waiting for a flood, his trousers are so short).GaGa was delighted to walk away with eight awards on the night and despite reports that it was a record breaker, Sheena has informed me that Peter Gabriel won more in 97. Take that MTV's record people. She also had a number of wardrobe changes to collect all these awards, one of which was this. It speaks for itself. Katy Perry was the only other singer to brave an unusual outfit. Personally, I think she's pretty darn cool. At first I just thought she was covered in body paint and that the 'skirt' was a strip of tulle taped on to her. However, on closer inspection, it is in fact one of those flesh coloured base tops with the decorative sparkles stitched on. Fair Play to her, she has the body for it. But bad move on the nails and hair.
To the other kids who did the single teapot, there was Lo Bosworth, Stephanie Pratt, Audrina Partridge, Selena Gomez and that muppet KE$HA. The cast of Jersey Shore took time out of their busy schedule to attend the proceedings. Seriously, is there no one to advise Snooki to buy some clothes that aren't so tight? Mike 'The Situation' Sorrentino needs a reality check and a kick up the behind. Someone else that could do with a look in the mirror is Cher, I mean, how old is she and she's looking like this??
But it wasn't all bad folks, the cast of Jackass were there with Steve 'O' saying a special helloooo. For the ladies, the eye candy included USHER, Justin Timberlake and that fellah from Glee, Cory Monteith, oh...and that stud muffin, the moon man. He's starting to put The Stig to shame.
