Movember brought back the moustache and now they are bringing ‘MOVE’, a 30-day fitness challenge, to raise funds and awareness for men’s health.
MOVE is a global initiative being rolled out for the first time this year across 21 countries worldwide.
As part of the Irish MOVEment, comedian, Andrew Stanley, TV and radio presenter, Ray D’Arcy, model and food blogger, Rozanna Purcell, and Irish Olympian, Rob Heffernan, will pave the way for the Irish people to take a stand and increase awareness for men’s health, by getting active throughout the month of MOVEmber. The four MOVE Ambassadors will lead the charge by each taking on their own individual challenge. The nation can follow their efforts on Twitter @MovemberIreland throughout the month.
Mo Bros and Mo Sistas of Ireland are invited to register to MOVE on Movember.com and commit to 30 MOVEs in 30 days. How they MOVE is up to them, but it needs to be a minimum of 20 minutes of moderate exercise per day, for the full 30 days. Whether it’s a gym class, a hula-hooping session, an hour-long brisk walk, or a long distance cycle, no MOVE is too big or too small.
Of course, Movember will always be about the moustache, and MoBros cross-country are still invited to grow to raise funds, however, this new initiative means there’s more than one way to get involved.
Movember is inviting the nation to join the MOVEment and become a champion of men’s health with the 2015 MOVE Ambassadors. Everyone is encouraged to walk the walk, talk the talk, run the run or swim the swim for Movember. Fundraisers can keep up to date and join in the conversation at #MOVEforMovember and follow the MOVE plan of your choice at #MOVEwithRob, #MOVEwithRoz, #MOVEwithRay or #MOVEwithAndrew.
