Mel B, (who, ever since appearing on The X Factor UK, we have to admit we've disliked immensely) has been booed yet again on US TV Show America's Got Talent. This time, it was for taking offence to a comedian's joke about black taxi drivers. (The last time it was in New Orleans where she criticised their local penchant for brass music). Taking to the stage to do demonstrate his comic ability, the comedian proceeded to make a joke about black taxi drivers being somewhat more entertaining than white taxi drivers. Before finishing his gag, Mel B had buzzed him off saying "I found it really offensive. There was no need to do a stereotypical black joke. It was not funny."
Fair point? Well, the audience, nor the panel, seemed to the think so. Mel B was instantly booed and criticised for not having a sense of humour. Panel judge Howie Mandel then turned to the audience and asked them if they found his comedy offensive, to which they replied with a simple 'no'.
After this instance, it's been reported that Howard Stern said Mel B is completely lacking in a sense of humour while fellow panel judge said: "There will always be jokes made about being black and white. I agree with you that we should laugh about it."
What's your stance?
