A clip has surfaced online of Sinn Fein leader Mary Lou McDonald doing the infamous 'Macarena' song. And as the young ones say, the video has gone viral.
Mary Lou McDonald, who is currently on a high from her historic election campaign, has lit up the internet today with her attempt at doing her own version of the Spanish dance song from 1996. It goes without saying, she's definitely less robotic than Theresa May's effort.
But, at the age of 50, you would think that she'd know the dance-moves off by heart at this stage. Dancing with a group of children in the Ringsend community centre this morning, the kids steal the limelight as Mary Lou hasn't a clue about the steps.
Nevertheless, she looked to be having a great laugh, singing along to lyrics such as: "They all want me, they can't have me, so they all come and dance beside me."
Maybe the lyrics will appear on Sinn Fein's next election manifesto.
Anyway, here is said video for your viewing pleasure, originally uploaded by Sean Defoe.
It's also been given an updated version in the meantime by Jim Sheridan, and has been put to the tune of Billie Eilish's 'Bad Guy', which seems to go with absolutely everything.
