Yesterday was November 1st, and according to a lot of fans of the season (and memes), that means Christmas has officially begun.

Mariah Carey said as much in her latest Instagram post.

The singer has long been an ambassador for the season (her fanbase calls her "The Queen of Christmas") thanks to her hit single "All I Want for Christmas Is You."

Yesterday she posted a video on Instagram showing a scary figure dressed up for Halloween open one door and then another.

Beyond the second is Mariah Carey in Christmas pajamas underneath a Christmas tree looking to her wrist watch and saying "It's time!"

Then she cheers.

A note later adds: "But let's get through Thanksgiving first!"

Those who can't get enough of the singer will be happy to hear that she's starring in a holiday special for Apple TV this year titled "Mariah Carey's Magical Christmas Special."

Last weekend, she dropped in on the 'Hocus Pocus' reunion. She told Winifred Sanderson: "I got news for you girl, Halloween is nearly over. So scat! It's my turn now."
