A Canadian man has solved his own missing persons case, nearly thirty years after he was first reported to have disappeared.
Edgar Latulip, boarded a bus to Niagra Falls in 1986 and hadn't been seen by friends or family since. In January, Latulip suddenly remembered his identity. He told a social worker who found his name listed in a missing person's database.
It transpired that Latulip suffered a head injury shortly after boarding the bus to Niagra Falls and has suffered from severe memory loss since then. A DNA test has since confirmed his identity. His mother, confirmed to Canadian news network CTV that she was overwhelmed and that plans were now in place for her to be reunited with her son.
Edgar had been living in St. Catherine's, just 130km away from home.
