A man has been jailed in France for calling and texting his girlfriend a whopping 21,807 times - averaging 73 phonecalls per day over a 10-month period.
The unnamed defendant began calling and texting his girlfriend because he wanted either money for fixing up her apartment or a thank you for carrying out the task. No, seriously.
The court handed down a four month sentence and a fine of €1,000 fine for harassment.
Speaking after the sentence, the man said that it was "stupid" and that he had stopped after a mediator arranged for he and her to meet and she could thank him.
